Snow day

The other day was snow day for the second time this year. The picture I took is the vegetable field in adjoining land of my house.

My car doesn’t have snow tyres since it seldom snows in my neighborhood.
So I had to take my younger daughter to nursery school by my bicycle.

Parents sometimes worry about the safty because the roads will be slippery and trains will delay.

On the other hand children are pleased with snows because they will be able to play in the snow.For example they can build snowmans and have snowball battles.

I live in Kawagoe-city Saitama-prefecture Japan. There are many traditional warehouses in Kawagoe. So many Japanese and the people from overseas come to sightseeing. http://www.koedo.or.jp/foreign/english/index.html

  1. Some things are the same throughout the world. ALL kids love to play in the snow, build snowmen and throw snowballs. Beautiful picture!

  2. Sorry, in Japanese.

    1. If we want to sky, we have to go to the place which takes for more three hours from my house by ca or train.
      And my family can’t ski well.We should practice to ski.. 🙂

  3. Ahh yes. We had snow for one day in December last year. It snowed a little bit a couple of weeks ago but didn’t settle. The local kids were pretty disappointed – can’t make snowmen from volcano ash unfortunately!! ^^;

    1. Nice to meet you.I saw that you live in Miyazaki.How nice.I have never been to Miyazaki or seen volcano ash.But there were my father’s home in Fukuoka, pre Kyusyu, Japan.

      1. Nice to meet you too! Yes, Miyazaki’s lovely – but it’s not really known for being beautiful lately – bird flu, volcano eruptions… last year’s foot-and-mouth disease… ^^;

        Poor Miyazaki!!
