The power of nature

panoramic view

This park is about one kilometer away from my house.
I can go to this park in under ten minutes by bicycle.
During cherry blossom season, so many people drive to the park that the number of cars parked in the streets increases

Many people, regardless of age, come to this park for various reasons like fishing, soccer, baseball, picnic and running.
This park has very different meanings depending on visitors.

Anyway they want to feel nature and refresh themselves.

Because most of the houses don’t have enough area to accommodate a garden and many people are stressed on weekdays.
Recently it is said that the number of people who have heart disease is increasing regardless of the earthquake.
The causes of the stress are human relations in the company, packed commuter trains and business depression.

I heard that the treatment is living with nature and growing flowers and vegetables.
It is common all over the world that nature is respected.
Sometimes nature has a dreadful face and sometimes nature has a healing face.

I live in Kawagoe-city Saitama-prefecture Japan. There are many traditional warehouses in Kawagoe. So many Japanese and the people from overseas come to sightseeing. http://www.koedo.or.jp/foreign/english/index.html

    1. Thank you for quick comment. ๐Ÿ™‚
This place is Saitama prefercture next to Tokyo, but it is just the same.
Anyway this cherry blossoms were awesome.

      1. At my place of work, i get to deal with quite a few authors many from this same city you live in, and come to wonder how the city might look like. It’s interesting seeing it through a local’s eyes. ..that’s such a soothing landscape to lay eyes on. The more we have urban stress, the more we need nature. ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. Thanks.
Most of us don’t know how to live in region richly endowed with nature. We have to rethink to live in a world of convenience in the city and reduce our stress. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. No, we don’t need licences to fish in this park, but we need licences to fish in some of parks or ponds.I haven’t never fished before.I’ll try to fish someday although I get seasick easily.

  1. Amazing pics, loved them all…
And yes nature always soothes you when you are stressed, vi flowers, the trees… In thier company you forget your worries and feel joyous…
    Have a lovely day:)

  2. The cherry blossoms are beautiful and the water looks serene… It is ironic that sometimes to get to places like this become stressful because of all the cars headed in the same direction… It reminds me of when I lived and worked in Los Angeles, I used to drive from work to my Yoga class but the stress to get there was so high I stopped going and started walking. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. As you say all the cars headed in the same direction and “same time”.
In the morning only the road going uptown is backed up and in the evening only the road going downtown is backed up.
By the way Yoga class sounds fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Park should be the center of the community where people can unwind and relax themselves and interact with neighbors. Nature has its own way of healing to the tired or damaged heart. I wonder how this park will be in summer, autumn, and winter. Look forward to your report from season to season.

  5. Beautiful photos! Thank you so much for sharing – I especially love the fishing scene. I agree – we all need more time in nature to ease the stress of city living.

  6. Thank you for adding this to Show Me Japan! I’m in love with the picture over the water with the sole fisherman. It’s beautiful.
I understand how people feel more calm and healed by nature. Just looking at pictures of sakura (now that they’re mostly gone here and the weather turned horrible, especially!) really makes me feel warm and happy inside. Thank you!

    1. Thanks a lot.
      Every fisherman are daddy.
As you say the cherry blossoms are gone.
It is short time that we can see them.So the cherry blossom is valuable much more.
