86 swans

Yesterday my family went to Kawajima, a town neighboring Kawagoe city, to watch swans.
Since 2003, swans have migrated from northern countries to spend the winter in the riverbed of the town from October to November.

The day before yesterday we found out that 86 swans were in the riverbed from the Kawajima town home page.Visitors used to feed the swans. But now feeding them is prohibited by the town office. It was freezing cold and the temperature was three degrees. But more than 50 visitors who were children,  photographers and the elderly came there.

On the other hand my daughters really enjoyed sliding down the bank of the rivet with a cardboard. My wife and I are busy washing their clothes every day.

I live in Kawagoe-city Saitama-prefecture Japan. There are many traditional warehouses in Kawagoe. So many Japanese and the people from overseas come to sightseeing. http://www.koedo.or.jp/foreign/english/index.html
