羽生水郷公園 has a small aquarium which displays only fish from the river in the park.

My daughters love petting fish outdoor.

There are grass carps, American catfish, blue fish and carps in this pond.

You can buy food for the fish for 50 yen.

Many large fish gathered around my daughters.

In addition, my daughters were able to catch a turtle for the first time. Playing with fish is more interesting than only seeing them.

My family and I visited the earth obsevation center in Saitama prefecture.

It’s a research laboratory but you can tour the building freely.

The large parabolic satellite antenna in the center gets various kinds of information from artificial satelites.

You can see the miniature of the artificial satelites in the exhibition room.

There is also a golden one.

My daughters enjoyed driving the artificial satelites inside the room.

The artificial satelites show us how a typhoon moves and how the ice of the north pole changes.

There are many photos taken by them.
For example, there is a photo of Ayers Rock in Australia.

It’s amazing to know how the earth is.

There is a beautiful lake which has a wooden path.

We found frog eggs and many fish in the lake.

There is also a beautiful flower field in which my children could ran through. Since the park is very large, it has an aquarium. I’ll share it soon.

Frotunately, the weather has been good almost every day this season.

I chose this carnation with my eldest daughter for my wife.
My daughter said that the pink one was better than red one.
The large DIY center sells many kinds of flowers for Mather’s Day.
The sign says, “Thanks, Mother”.

By the way, I learnt that a carnation was imported from Holland 300 years ago.

My youngest daughter made this sunflower by origami.
This one is also heart-warming.

Happy Mother’s Day.

I bought a Kanji（漢字） dictionary for an elementary school student the other day.That’s why my oldest daughter needs to bring it to school.Learning Kanji is one of the most important lessons in an elementary school.Her goal is to get a mark of 100.Fortunately, she seems to enjoy studying Kanji so far.

The dictionary shows the meaning, how to write and how to read the Kanji.

She transcribes Kanji in her notes repeatedly.
“I drink a hot tea.”
“A vast land.”
“I draw a plan.” and so on..

I remembered studying Kanji meself.

There is a beautiful river in my neighborhood

Since most areas are unpaved, it’s a nice path for taking a walk

Most of the trees are cherry blossoms which I sometimes shared on this blog

There is a vast vegetable field along the river
The vegetables look like they grow well thanks to the good sunshine.

There is also a pond with a fountain near the river

This is a kind of monument along the path

I found the Billiken around here It’s rare to find it The pattern is very unique

I’m glad that I live in this countryside.

That tower is a center of the town.

You can climb the stairs in the tower.

Almost all houses and churches ahave been preserved for hundreds years.
All of the roofs are the same color.

The beautiful town scenery receives recognition.

You can also see the port from the top of the tower.

The town is Talinn, Estonia on September 2012.
You can get to the city about two hours from Helsinki by ship.

It’s time to pick vegetables in our garden

Now, there are radishes, komatsuna(a kind of colza), chives, leeks and parsleys.

My daughters like gathering them together.

It’s easy to pick them, even for my youngest daughter

I cooked fried noodles with komatsuna and leeks.
In addition, I fried radishes with a small amount of salt.
The radish was much sweeter than we expected

They are small bits of happiness for us on our holidays

New play equipment was recently built in a neighborhood park.

All of the equipment of frame is made of steel instead of wood.

My children like all of the new equipment.

The equipment is for children between 6 and 12 years old.

However, my youngest daughter, who is 5 years old, was also able to enjoy it. It’s typical for my family to play at a park on weekends.

My eldest daughter made these neat sewings by herself at an after school care

Not all children make these because it takes many hours to finish them.

Somehow, my eldest daughter likes doing such works which need great concentration.

She acts as if not hearing other people talking when she is concentrated on her work.

Recently we, adults, are unable to complete all the work at our office on time because there are so much works
I think that we also need such kind of concentration.

Anyway, these works of art are pretty, aren’t they?
