Hachijyo Island 八丈島
I visited Hachijyo island （八丈島）last week for work.
There is a small mountain in the center of the island.
There are many forest and long roads.Basically, that’s all.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to return in a day because the flight was canceled.
A strong wind often blows.
This is a guest house which I stayed.
We call it Minshuku.（民宿） It’s mainly for fishermen.
This is a dinner at the guest house. It’s healthy, isn’t it?
We help ourselves to prepare rice, make a bed and check out there.
Interestingly, this island is also Tokyo.
The island is in Tokyo? Looks very interesting and quite different

What a beautiful island! It looks like the perfect place to get back to nature for a while. It can be very upsetting to have a flight cancelled, but at least you were in a very scenic / relaxing place at the time.

It hurts that I’m eating at a Mcdonald’s and you’re eating healthy, cultural, delicious food. I use Mcdonald’s for wifi.

東京の島は意外にたくさんあるので工夫次第でもっと人がくるような気がします。日程は余裕を見ることが必要そうですが。。

The wind must be very strong indeed to cancel flights so often.
Fortunately, we have many small islands. So we should use or visit them much more.
