I took my daughters to Kashiya yokocho(菓子屋横丁) where you can buy various snacks

It’s always crowded but it wasn’t crowded today because some shops were closed and today was the last day of the year

there are many kinds of nostalgic snacks and shops
Adults also enjoy the town

Of course, my daughters bought some snacks They used their own money because they will receive more money as お年玉 on new year

After we went to buy snacks and some fried potatoes, we played at a park
It was an usual holiday althought it was the last day of the year

The new year will arrive in hours
Happy new year to all

PS: Japanese people usually say “”happy new year” after the new year arrives

  1. I’ve been in that alley more than once! The last time was in summer. I remember I bought sweet potato ice cream! :)

明けましておめでとうございます、ココミノ!I hope you and your family will enjoy a lovely year.

  2. Reblogged this on Japan Reblogged and commented:
Allow me to reblog an older post.
I had a chance to drive through Kura Dori, which is near this Kashiya Yokocho. It is interesting that Kura Dori preserves the old building and classic atomosphere and at the same time buses and cars can go through the street enjoying the view. I also noticed that some of the new stores are designed not to destroy the views.
I could not discover posts from your blog about Kura Dori. If you have one that I can reblog, would you reply to this comment?
