Going Back to Japan

I just got back to Japan. I could have continued traveling but my family was waiting me and I wanted to eat Japanese food at home. I had a good experience during every moment. Not only for my job but also the way of living and culture. I traveled for two months but I feel as if it was two years. It was also a good chance to rethink about Japan. I noticed many good and bad things about Japan during the trip. I’ll get different impressions about Japanese things and people even if they’re same as before. That long trip will influence my future a lot. I need time to organize my thoughts.

Anyway, I’m glad to be back safely and I reunited with my family who also looked very happy. My daughters were always following me.

  1. It’s good to be back home after long travels, right? *^v^* I’m glad you enjoyed yout trip and came back safely. And I’m waiting for new posts about life in Japan.

  2. Welcom back to Japan, Cocomino. It is so interesting to read this post. Travelling is of course not just looking at new places, but also to contemplete our own life, from a new perspective. (But I know a lot of people who just travel to strech out on a sun bed, whatever country..)

    • Thanks much. I prefer the trip that I can experience and know about daily life in the countries. That’s much more interesting because I understand what they think and want to do. :)

  3. Welcome home Cocomino! Well…that was a loooong trip :) and I understand how nice it must be to be with the family again.
Have a lovely weekend with your beloved ones!
    Hugs from Sweden!

  4. Well come back bome dear Cocomino, I am glad you had a nice travel and days. Your daughters are amazing I loved these big pencils :) Thank you, have a nice weekend, love, nia

  5. Your girls must have been so excited to be with you (and you with them) – glad you had such a good traveling experience and even more glad that you are safely home!

  6. Glad you are safely home. I have been closely following all your posts during your recent travels abroad and looks like you were able to experience it fully – which is great!

I can speak from experience that traveling and especially living in foreign lands gives you a new and different perspective – I know as a Canadian living in Japan for almost 3 years has changed me (and my family) in a big way for the best.

    • Thank you so much. Certainly, I was able to get new perspective like you. It’s valuable and interesting for future life. Canada is one of the country which I want to visit.

  7. Welcome back! I’m glad you enjoyed your trip! What is your next travel destination? ;)

I think it’s important to travel abroad and experience different cultures to understand your own country more. My first trip to Finland made me look at Russia in a new way :D

  8. Welcome home! I’m sure you’re glad to be back home, but as you said time away always opens your eyes to certain things. Enjoy your family and get some rest.

  9. So very wonderful to hear that at the end of your long trip, you are now finally back safe and sound with your lovely family!!! I am so happy that everything went well and I am sure it was a very happy reunion indeed! Such beautiful gifts your daughters have prepared for you. It was so lovely to meet you. Send our warmest blessings to your family. Keep in touch. Sharon

  10. Kawaii desu nee! Those origami are adorable, and filled with color and joy, as your family is filled with joy to have you home.
Deep experiences like traveling as you did take quite a long time to process, they are like little seeds inside you that will be growing and flowering over the next months, perhaps even years. Okaeri, yes?

  11. What an adventure you had. Glad you made it home safe. I’m sure the experience has given you a lot of new insights that you would other wise have missed. Though it sure looks like your girls are very happy to have you back.

  12. What lovely gifts from your daughters! It always feels good to come back home.
I think if people have the opportunity, they should travel to different countries and learn about, as well as respect, different cultures.

  13. WOW! Your daughters miss you so much!!!! They make it like everyday waiting for daddy to come home! They are so sweet. I’m feeling the love flows… So happy for you! ^^

  14. I’m so happy to hear you made it back home safely, sir! I had a lot of fun looking at your photographs and learning about your journey… but two months is a very long time to be away from home – and your family! I’m looking forward to learning more about life in Kawagoe again now, too (always so fascinating – and fun)! :)

    • Thank you so much. I’m glad to hear that. I’ll write about our town and sometimes share about the trip in Finland and Holland. That’s why there are many photos which I have never posted.

  15. Two months is a long time to travel, but you experienced so much that no wonder it seemed like two years. Traveling out of one’s own city or country is a good way to understand perspective, one you can not get reading books or surfing the internet… that the world is much bigger than our small perceptions of it, gained from living in our own little local world! I must say, I would love to travel to Japan one day :^)

    • Thanks a lot. It was really good opportunity to learn about other society and our society. I’m busy to organize my thought.
Anyway, I hope that you’ll come to Japan.

  17. Welcome back Cocomino
I’m glad you got home safe and reunited with your family. Maybe next time you can get them to come with you.
Also I’m happy you had the chance to learn new things and ideas. I hope you will put them to good use and share with us some of your insights.

    Have a great day!

  18. congrats, M., that you are together with your family again! thanks for your interesting travel diary and your resumee: “…I traveled for two months but I feel as if it was two years. It was also a good chance to rethink about Japan. I noticed many good and bad things about Japan during the trip…”

  19. I am glad you had a safe trip home and I am sure your family is very happy to see you. Traveling open people’s eyes and minds to new things. I wished more people have this opportunity and not just seeing their usual surroundings every day.
