Movie Theater Eye in Amsterdam
This unique movie theater opened in the center of Amsterdam, this year.
As you noticed, this building has a very unique and modern shape.
I can’t imagine why the architect thought of this design like a space ship.
The theater also has some exhibitions and a nice cafe.
You can watch some old movies freely in this box.
The inside of the theater is also interesting. The view from the cafe is a panoramic view.
By the way, I though that 10 euro for the cinema ticket is cheap while Japanese tickets are about 18 euro.
Wow, is that really a cinema? I’d rather say it’s an opera house or something.. and 10€ for tickets, not bad at all!!!! :O

I like the design although it is odd for a movie theater. Maybe the architect liked sci-fi movies. 18 euros is expensive to see a movie. It is about 9 to 11 euros or $12 to $15 U.S.

The ticket in Japan is so expensive that my family don’t go to the theater but can borrow the DVD.

That’s good. I visited the Hague for a few hours. It was a large city than I expected.
It looks very nice. I love interesting architecture. I guess I’m spoiled here in Korea, since all movie tickets are about 5 euros, unless you see a 3D movie.

You know what? It reminds me a bit of the Edo Tokyo Museum. Don’t you think? Though I think this particular Dutch design is nicer than the Tokyo design. Am I allowed to prefer a Dutch design rather than a Japanese design?!
Edo Tokyo Museum is huge but I also prefer this design. Of course, you can prefer Dutch design. I think that old Japanese design is good but modern architecture in Japan isn’t good.
