The Center of Helsinki
In the center of Helsinki is Helsinki’s station. You can go to every city including local areas from here.
This station was planned by Eliel Saarinen in 1904.
It’s nice to use such an old architecture even now.
The Finish say that the area is very crowded and they want to live in the local areas.
However, I think that it’s not crowded compared to Tokyo and it’s a very convenient place to live because you can walk most places such as stores, museums, library and so on. In addition, you can ride tram, bus, metro and trains, if you like.
Of course, the all vehicles isn’t crowded even on a weekday morning.
PS Tokyo station will be renovated soon. It’s also interesting to visit the olde station, if you like.
