Hamamatsu Castle
I visited Hamamatsu city to join my friend’s wedding.
Before joining it, I went to the old center area of the city.
It’s Hamamatsu castle where “Tokugawa Ieyasu 徳川家康” had lived for 17 years.
It was over 400 years ago but the stone wall has still remained well.
Since the past, the castle was built in the best location of the city.
So the view from the castle was nice and good to protect from the enemy.
This is a police station in the castle town.
There is also a public museum and a city hall in the castle park.
It’s also common among other castle towns including Kawagoe city.
That’s why the castle area is a very large place and located in an important place.
The castle is still one of the big characteristics in the city.

Very nice photos.
Thank you so much.
What a charming castle!
Indeed. Thanks.
Looks like a great castle to visit. I’ll have to put it on my list as I’ve yet to see it
Thank you so much. The castle sounds very important to find old history during the Edo.

すてきなお城なんですね!
警察署はお城の設計とよく合っていますね。
そうですね。このお城の近くの建物はみんな、こういうデザインです。
It looks like a wonderful place. It amazes me how long stone walls can last.
Thank you. The stones are very very old and worth preserving.
Wow, it is a fantastic setting for a wedding!

I like the design of the castle. Nice place to have a wedding.
Thanks a lot. The castle has good atmosphere.
I enjoyed visiting Japanese castles. They have fascinating history and architecture. The police station looks nothing like police stations we have here.
Thanks. There are many castles in Japan. Some still have remained well and other buildings near castle was built like castle.
Hamamatsu to me, equals unagi… which is one of my favorite, favorite Japanese dishes…
Of course, I bought a unagi-pie. It’s very common souvenir.
I love Japanese castles! Whenever I see stone walls, I am amazed with their accuracy and neatness. Lovely castle!
