Summer Trip 03 : Botanical Garden on the Top of the Mountain
We hiked in an alpine botanical garden on the top of the mountain. The garden has over 300 species of alpine plants, and 2 million alpine plants. Since the staff of the ski company has planted them since ten years ago, there are some valuable flowers and plants.
One of the most popular flower is this blue poppy(Meconopsis betonicifolia) because it grows in Himarayas which is 4,000 meters elevation. Some people visit the Himarayas to see them because it’s called the phantasmal flower.
However, you can see it at 1,500 meters elevation.
This is Edelweiss (Meconopsis betonicifolia) from Switzerland.
It’s famous because of the song.
This is “Takane Nadeshiko.”(Dianthus superbus var. speciosus)
It feels soft, as if you were caressing children. (Naderu in Japanese)
This is “NikkoKisuge” It’s called “One Day Flower” because the flower can live only a day.
However, you can see them every day because tons of flowers bloom.
Hmm, I forgot the name of it but it’s also very beautiful.
Many photographers gathered at the garden to take good photos.
Of coures, my family and I enjoyed hiking and seeing various flowers.

Thanks much. It was interesting to see such precious flower.
Lovely flowers!
Yes, thanks.
