Summer trip 01 Enjoying Ski Resort in Summer

We visited “Hakubagoryu” 白馬五竜 in Nagano prefercture to enjoy the summer holidays.
The place is a famous ski resort in winter.

However, people who run the ski company is trying to utilize the resort during the summer.

So they built camp sites, botanical gardens, athletic parks and other various facilities and holding events such as seeing fireflies in summer.

Actually, I guess that tourism and agriculture are the only industries in rural areas.
It’s good that many people come to rural areas because I noticed that most staffs were elderly.

I hope that rural areas will be revitalized.

Loved the last photo! They have started to run a lot of events in the Alps in summer to attract mor evisitors (other than the walkers and climbers). besides I think the ountains in summer with all the wildflowers are stunning!

スノーボードをしに白馬五竜に行ったことを思い出しました！とてもよい所ですよね。
実は、3枚目の写真に写っている鐘を友人と思いきり引っ張って、スキー場中に鳴り響かせてしまったことがあります。。。周囲のお客さん達は喜んでくれたのですが、今思うとかなりはた迷惑な奴です。

We love visiting these types of places in summer to escape the heat of the cities. They are still very beautiful and the views are amazing. Some favourite retreats in Nagano include Karuizawa and Kamikochi.
