Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside the Bread

We like to add some kinds of food in the bread.

There are meat, tomatoes and lettuce inside the bread. We usually call it, “Hamburger” in Japanese.

These are hot dogs at home.

This is blueberry jam. It’s so sweet.

What kinds of food inside the bread do you like?

PS: I sometimes visit “Subway” shop which serves healthy bread including many kinds of vegetables.

  1. I love me some Subway. We don’t have one in my city though. If I’m at home and want a snack, I often eat a sandwich with peanut butter and strawberry jam. That’s very popular where I grew up.

  2. As long as it’s whole wheat bread (so scarce in Japan!), I don’t mind what you put inside. My favourite, though, is jam made from a South African grape called “hanepoot” combined with blue cheese. Two very strong, very different tastes that still combine exceptionally well.

    Your homemade food looks delicious!

  3. I love having sandwiches! I like vegetable filling inside the bread like tomatoes, cucumber, onions and potatoes. And we have it either toasted or uncooked.

  4. I love cheese so it would have to be cheese sandwiches – often with added salad such as tomatoes. As a vegetarian, my favourite hot sandwich or bread roll would be veggie sausage – with cheese :-)
