They are the flowers of the tomatos.
The macro lens can capture the small beauty.

  1. I have the same tomato flowers on my plants on the balcony now! *^v^*
Did you plant edamame? I did. It has beautiful tiny white/violet flowers that remind me of the パンジー flowers. ^^

      • How nice that you also have tomato and okura!. I planted edamame last year. It goes well with beer. Yes, the flower is cute. Thank you for your comment as always.

  2. We sort of tend to forget to look at the flowers of our vegetables, Cocomino, it is good you remind us. They may not be so big, but they are beautiful too. Of these I only know the tomato, but also the others were interesting. And nice.

    • Many thanks! I didn’t know the flowers of vegetables before I started to plant vegetables in my garden. It’s a great opportunity to know about food and nature things. :D
      They are really beautiful.

  4. I love the lavender/purple flowers of Aubergines. A couple of years ago a bird planted some seeds in my garden and as the plant grew I thought the flowers were unusual so I never removed the plants. A month or so later I noticed the flowers change to a purple ball, which then became elongated. Fascinated I watched for several weeks until I realised they were Aubergine plants! Thank you birds Nature is wonderful!

  5. Here in the shitamachi people use asagao as green curtains, but it doesn’t grow as luxuriantly as goya. I think your solution is better! ^^

PS: I never knew tomatoes had such pretty flowers!

  6. This is a really wonderful post. I always try to capture flowers of vegetables, but as i do not have macro lens so the final picture is not as good as I Imagine. You took these pictures so beautifully. Like this post a lot. :)

  7. Tomatoes are one of my favorites! Especially ripe home-grown ones (like the ones those wonderful flowers in your garden will be turning into soon)! I like to put them in many different dishes, but I also like to eat them plain / by themselves, too! :)

    • Yes, eating vegetables plain is very good. Recently vegetables sold in grocery stores don’t have deep taste but fresh vegetables in my garden have good taste without salt.
